Elka Giemza is a nurse by training and graduated from King’s College London in 1999. She previously ran another research facility for vaccine development at St George’s Hospital whilst undertaking further education in clinical drug development.
In 2011, Elka was appointed to set up the NIHR King’s Clinical Research Facility (CRF) where she oversees the management and operational aspects of the facility, ensuring it is fit for purpose. She is key to the development of the CRF, responding to the new, often complex, studies requiring unique support.
Elka also holds a senior management position at the UKCRF Network as their Deputy Lead in Operations.
