In a career that has spanned four decades, Professor Peter Goadsby is one of the leading researchers exploring the science behind migraine and cluster headache.
In 2021, Professor Goadsby was awarded the Brain Prize – one of the world’s most prestigious awards in neuroscience – in recognition of his pioneering research that led to the development of entirely new and effective classes of migraine treatments.
In addition to being Director of the NIHR King’s Clinical Research Facility, Professor Goadsby is an Honorary Consultant at King’s College Hospital, Professor of Neurology at King’s College London’s Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), and Lead of the Pain and Addictions theme at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre.
