Our Experimental Medicine Facility (EMF) is housed over two floors, with the lower ground floor also including our Neuroimaging suite.
EMF First floor:
- 4 x Interview rooms and observation facility suitable for mental health assessments
- 2 x Clinical Examination rooms
- 6 x Infusion/phlebotomy chairs
- 2 x EEG recording rooms (including one supine plus capacity for repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) imaging)
- 1 x Virtual Reality suite
- Patient Lounge including balcony area
- Sample processing room with calibrated (and refrigerated) Eppendorf centrifuge, fridge, Labcold pharmacy fridge and -20°C freezer (with remote temperature monitoring), 2x centrifuges
- 1x Tanita Corporation body composition analyser
- 4x Mindray patient monitors, for patient assessments
- 2x Lion Labs breathalysers and 1x piCO+ Smokelyzer
- 2x Spacelabs ECG machines
- 2x Fresenius infusion pumps
- 1x Fresenius syringe driver infusion pump
- 2x ICU Medical Plum 360 chemotherapy infusion pumps
EMF Ground floor:
- 2x Seca weighing scales
- 2x Mindray patient monitors
- 2 x High Dependency beds for acute/intensive care
- 4 x ward beds (directly supervised through nursing station) including 2 x isolated side rooms
