Michelle Dela Cruz-Magtalas, Experimental Research Team Leader at the NIHR Clinical Research Facility: King’s, has been accepted onto the Florence Nightingale Foundation Windrush Leadership Programme which supports the development of staff from Black, Asian, or Ethnic Minority backgrounds.
The national leadership programme offers a blend of leadership workshops, action-based learning including understanding and solving real-life workplace challenges with peers, and a quality improvement project focusing on addressing health inequalities.
As a proud Filipina and internationally educated nurse, Michelle is deeply committed to advancing patient care, driving research innovation, and supporting the growth and development of her colleagues. Her achievement is not only a personal milestone but a moment of pride for the wider Filipino and ethnic minority nursing community, whose contributions continue to strengthen the NHS.
