Ahead of International Clinical Trials Day, NIHR King’s Clinical Research Facility (CRF) Manager, Elka Giemza, and NIHR King’s CRF Advanced Therapies Lead Nurse, Amelia Te, will be hosting a session at this year’s Pint of Science.

Pint of Science is an annual worldwide science festival which takes place every May and brings researchers to your local pub, café, or community space to share their scientific discoveries with you.

Join the NIHR King’s CRF team for a talk on how modern clinical trials are designed and delivered at King’s College Hospital, including how advanced therapies – such as cell and gene treatments – transform care for diseases such as cancer.

This talk forms part of the ‘From Cells to Code: Brewing the Future of Cancer Research’ event which will bring together cutting-edge science shaping tomorrow’s healthcare. You will also hear how biobanks power discovery through donated samples, and how AI-driven initiatives like PharosAI are transforming cancer detection, treatment, and prevention.
