Dani Nebres, CRF Lead Nurse at the NIHR Clinical Research Facility: King’s has been shortlisted as a finalist for Inclusive Leader of the Year: Staff Voice / Frontline & Community Impact at the National B.A.ME Health and Care Awards.
With more than 350 nominations across 19 categories this year, Dani is one of just eight leaders shortlisted in this category – a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of his commitment to inclusion, staff voice and meaningful engagement.
During his career, Dani has worked with equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) colleagues to implement additional training at the CRF around cultural intelligence, transgender awareness, health inequalities and more. This training has since been expanded to other research teams across King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust helping to engage colleagues in conversations that can create meaningful change.
His nomination is a testament not only to his leadership, but also to the importance of creating an environment where people feel empowered to speak up, challenge, listen and make a difference.
