The NIHR King’s Clinical Research Facility has published its Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) refreshed strategy for 2026/2027.
Shaped by feedback from research staff, patients, and members of the public, and developed in collaboration with our PPIE network, this plan builds upon work already achieved by our 2023-2025 PPIE strategy.
Underpinned by our aim to develop a culture that places PPIE at the heart of all aspects of our work, our refreshed strategy continues to focus on four key goals:
- Promoting the CRF, our research and work in a way that attracts members of the public to join us
- Offering a first-class experience for participants and public involvement members
- Engaging with and educating young people
- Evaluating the impact of public involvement and engagement
Flora Siklosi PPIE LeadIt has been great working with our public members to develop this strategy. Their input has helped shape our priorities for the year ahead, and we are particularly pleased to introduce an Easy Read version for the first time to make the strategy more accessible to a wider audience.
