Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE)

Involvement and engagement of members of the public is essential. It helps us to understand the needs, concerns, and priorities for research of those who use health and social care services.

Our refreshed plan for Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) at the NIHR King’s Clinical Research Facility was launched in May 2026, and outlines our ambition, aim, principles, and goals. We want to build meaningful and respectful PPIE, which improves the relevance, quality, and impact of the research and work which takes place here.
